REDD Workshop for COMIFAC countries (MFA/GTZ, Paris)

The meeting /workshop was held at locations of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Paris, and met Central African countries needs to build up capacités in order to continue their efforts for considering reducesd emissions by deforestation and forest degradation (REDD) in a future climate regime.

Following a two-days scientific workshop mainly focused on monitoring issues, REDD Partners had the opportunity to exchange on programmed activities for the 2008-2009 period. On the 13/14 march, countries of the Congo Basin drafted a new move for the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change (UNCCC), according to the decisions taken in Bali (december 2007).
