COMIFAC Council of Ministers (Bangui, CAR)
Together with the Executive Secretariat and the Summit of Head of States and Governments, the Council of Ministers is one of COMIFAC's three constitutional bodies. It is made up of each member state's ministers in charge of forests and/or environmental issues. The Council of Ministers is thus responsible for deciding on, coordinating and controlling the implementation of national and international politics for sustainable management of the forest ecosystems in Central Africa.
For further information concerning the COMIFAC decision-making structure, please have a look on their website on www.comifac.org org download the COMIFAC Treaty (in French)
The chair of the Council is provided by the Minister from the country holding the COMIFAC presidency. This Bangui council meeting will thus be the first to be organised by the Central African Republic and its Minister for Forests and Environmental Affairs, Yvonne MBOISSONA.

Upcoming Events
This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.
Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
