The European Commission has provided 10 million Euro to FAO for a four-year Program to assist African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries to develop an enabling environment for the implementation of the FLEGT Action Plan. The Program offers two support mechanisms:

1. ACP-FLEGT: Technical Assistance Guideline

2. ACP-FLEGT: Direct Assistance Guideline

3. ACP-FLEGT: Pilot Project Guideline

FAO open its first call for proposals for Pilot Projects and Technical Assistance. This call is open for government agencies, civil society organisations and private sector organisations. Last date for submission of proposals: 6th November 2009.

Government agencies can submit their requests for direct assistance at any time.
